Living arrangement

Currently, my living arrangements are rather stressful.

But I don't have anywhere else to go, so I stick it out.
It's like a bad work place with no job prospects.

Anyways, I daydream about solutions.
And today, I think dividing the house into apartments would be best.

I only want two rooms and the end bathroom. I can even use the fire escape window as a door, if necessary.

The bedroom would have to double as a small kitchen, but I lived in a studio before so I don't need much.
A chest freezer and a small fridge below a counter if a large one can't fit.
And a 24 inch stove.
The entire kitchen area is a six foot counter and the chest freezer is below the window.

To make the space would need to tear out the built in cupboards in the bedroom. Well at least half.
And get rid of the beds. I could use my massage table, just unfold it.

Or I thought I could get a recliner and sleep in that in the corner. or a hammock.

I'd keep my bed which is a double decker and use the top as storage space when I can no longer climb up.

But the best bit about my plan, daydream, is I don't have to live with my sister in the same household.
And then I'll get some peace.

Either that or I die first, before the rest of them.

Low salt

I think tomorrow I will still go to the market and attempt to make green seasoning.

Was told a recipe with no salt in the class. Group project is going ok.

No one else in this family wants to remember my mother, no idea why.
They don't like to talk about her.

I wonder what she would think about the new spin off of Dallas.

My cousins on my mother's side like it, no one here watches it.

I don't think it is my thing. But I do think I will watch the new WB series.. Arrow.

I made a complaint today about my money store provider. Anyways, surprised they actually called.
Lets see what their comparison looks like.

In any case I will be worse off regardless of which change I make.

Sick

I've been ill for about a week, now I have a horrible dry cough and sore throat. The cough is disturbing my sleep.

Anyways, my first virtual Ethics Committe has started. And I really do need to start the first FA for 202.

Need to complete session 12 but don't feel up to it.

Guests are coming next week. Life is good.

The cleaning of aunt is coming along. Little by little.

I will do an advance medical directive. Needs find a lawyer who does these things.

And also I have all three subjects going at the same time. Plan sort of fell aside, very quickly.

Have ended up doing 202, instead of 103 because I missing a book for 103.

Did the SA1.

Also doing the PH207 course, I find the Solid state chemistry too, well, I have no interest at the moment.

The PH207 course is great.

Right now trying to find the rule for the recoding of a continuous to a binary variable on a median split, allocation of the median in an odd number of observations.

My gut says add to side with the mean in a skewed distribution. But do not know how I know this, it just seems intuitive.

On to the kitchen pots. We have more covers than pots and none seem to match. Sigh.

European Film Festival

Guess that When we leave, was my last movie.
I was going to see What their eyes saw, but my mean sister made me miss it.

She really is annoying.

Actually, she is kind of sad.

Anyways, I am really enjoying my Edx PH207. That was really good. In fact the STATA intro was probably better than LSHTM.

I am on PE05, sort of skipped some of the reading for 3 and moved on. Will eventually have to go back to it.

Also doing the solid state chemistry. I really do wish someone had allowed me to take a year out and reapply with a more even outlook, back when I was 17.

Ah well. Will try to go to Yoga Wed am.

The Fabric of everyday life

Today I went to the market and came home.

There was a time when we used to go to the market and buy stuff and deliver it to my aunt.

Karaili, Plantain, Sweet potato.

These were my aunts staples at one point.

She used to make this really dense split pea soup. Her all meals food.

I thought it was too thick. Oh, and pig tail. Hypertensive, but must still season all foods with pigtail.

Yup, that was aunt.

Haven't really been back to the house as yet. I think that is when it will really sink in.

Free paper burn

Sigh, materials have arrived.

They are really quite efficient, although I seem to be a text short.

Have decided to just jump into session 6.
Planning on doing sessions 4-7 first.

This should be enough to move to Stat methods.

Aunt has been admitted to St. Clair.

I do not want to die this way, need to get an advanced medical directive done.

Year 2

Materials arrive next week. Sigh.

As we say in Trinidad, free paper burn.

Three of my students got III's. Well four if you count the one from Jan. So at least some were able to move on. Sadly many who had ability did not put in the necessary effort.

I've just signed up for PH207x.

Why, given I am paying over $30,000 to get a certificate from LSHTM.

I don't know, bored I guess. Unemployed.

Good for revision.

Also doing the Intro to solid state Chem. Why.

Cause I really like MIT opencourseware and will never be able to afford to go.

Background Story

Well back in 2011, my cousin was diagnosed with cancer. And at the same time a scandal was breaking about patients being overradiated at the local cancer centre.

Anyways, given the options available locally, my cousin decided not to have any radiation, which has its own risks.

So instead of paying for the dynamic linear accelerator at Southern Medical, I am doing the masters in Epi instead.

Only time will determine if it was a good bet.
